Symbolism
A figure in a black cloak (mourning, isolation, hidden grief) stands with head bowed over three spilled cups — lost joys, regret and disappointment. Behind the figure two cups remain upright, the overlooked blessings and opportunities that survive the loss. A river (the flow of emotion and time) separates the figure from a bridge leading to a castle on the far bank — the path forward from grief to safety and home, if only the figure would turn around and cross.
