The Hierophant
Tradition, spiritual wisdom, and conformity to established institutions, beliefs, and conventional structures.
Symbolism
A religious authority figure sits between two temple pillars, wearing three robes and a three-tiered crown that symbolize the three worlds he rules (conscious, subconscious, superconscious). His right hand is raised in benediction while his left holds a triple (Papal) cross representing the Holy Trinity. Two acolytes kneel before him, signifying the transfer of sacred knowledge within institutions, and the crossed keys at his feet represent the unlocking of spiritual mysteries that only he can teach.
