Minor Arcana · Swords
Seven of Swords
Deception, strategy, and acting alone — getting away with something, or finally facing the truth.
Symbolism
A man tiptoes away from a military camp, clutching five swords stolen from a rack, while two swords remain stuck in the ground behind him. He glances back over his shoulder with a satisfied, sly smile, believing he has escaped unnoticed — yet in the distance soldiers and tents signal that his theft may already have been spotted. The five swords he carries by the blades (an awkward, risky grip) suggest a clever but imperfect scheme, while the two left behind hint at what his cunning overlooks or leaves undone.
